AMP/USD now available as a Chainlink Price Feed
The market-leading decentralized oracle provider Chainlink recently added AMP/USD exchange data to its widely-adopted Price Feeds. Smart contract developers can now access a reliable feed of the tamperproof, fair-market exchange price for Amp collateral directly on chain. The AMP/USD feed is hosted on Ethereum and can also be accessed via ENS at amp-usd.data.eth

Flexa is proud to support the ongoing development of zkSync
Matter Labs, the developers of ZK-rollup solution zkSync, recently closed a financing round including several strategic partnerships, and Flexa is excited to support them in continuing to expand opportunities for payment solutions in the decentralized finance ecosystem. As an L2 solution for Ethereum, zkSync’s relationship with Flexa will also open up more ways for Amp to collateralize new projects and wallets.

Did you know?
Balancer has been sponsoring an ongoing gas reimbursement program since January 25 for certain trading pairs on their decentralized exchange. As a whitelisted token for BAL liquidity mining, Amp is automatically included for gas reimbursement. For more information, see the original announcement and the more recent Snapshot vote.
The Signal Technology Foundation, the non-profit company that created the Signal messaging app, is now accepting donations via Flexa partner The Giving Block. You can now donate to fund Signal development with Amp as well as several other popular cryptocurrencies.
Amp is now available on the Matic Network-powered exchange Quickswap, as well as Ethereum-based DEX aggregator Paraswap.
Amp was selected via Snapshot vote to launch a Moonbase rover, a smart contract for DeFi projects to distribute tokens to the ghouls at Based.Money. Learn more on CoinDesk, and stay tuned for the imminent release of BASED Loans (launching in a few days™️).
DeFi and payments news
Flexa was featured during a segment on CNBC’s Market Rally, covering platforms that enable cryptocurrencies to be used for payments. The short clip includes CNBC host Seema Mody using Flexa to spend bitcoin in several stores across New York City.
PayPal is finalizing their acquisition of Curv, a security startup focused on cryptocurrency key management. This acquisition may help usher in mass adoption of digital currencies by enabling more secure crypto storage in consumer wallets.
Cryptocurrency exchanges are starting to offer services for merchants to directly accept cryptocurrencies for payment. Binance soft launched its Binance Pay feature within the Binance app last month as a peer-to-peer payments product, and now also offers a merchant payment mechanism. Bitfinex has also released Bitfinex Pay, a payment gateway for merchants to natively accept bitcoin, ether, and Tether.
Finally, a detailed research report on stablecoins was recently released by The Block, a leading research, analysis, and news resource in the digital asset space. This is a great informational report, as stablecoins will likely play a key role in the future of spending cryptocurrencies day to day.
